1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Powaqa ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the Powaqa service, websites, applications, and related software (collectively, the "Service").
This Policy is part of and incorporated into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. Information you provide at registration or in your account settings, such as email address and name. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider (e.g., Google), the basic profile information that provider shares with us under your authorization (such as name, email, profile image, locale, and provider account identifier).
User Content. Messages, prompts, files, and other materials you submit to or through the Service, and the corresponding outputs.
Connected services. If you authorize the Service to access third-party accounts (such as email services), the data those services provide under your authorization, plus the access tokens needed to maintain that connection.
Technical and usage data. Information automatically collected when you access the Service, including IP address, device and browser identifiers, operating system, log files, timestamps, error reports, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP. This data is used for security, debugging, fraud prevention, analytics, and operational purposes.
Waitlist information. If you join a waitlist, the email address and any basic profile information shared by your sign-in provider.
Communications. Records of your interactions with our support channels.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to: (a) provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; (b) authenticate users and protect the Service from abuse, fraud, and security threats; (c) communicate with you about your account, security, billing, support, and material changes to the Service or our policies; (d) comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; (e) develop new features and conduct analytics that do not involve training AI models on your User Content; (f) for any purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use your User Content to train AI models we develop. We do not use your information to serve advertising.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information: (a) to service providers that perform services for us (such as hosting, infrastructure, database, AI model providers, payment processors, analytics, security, and customer support), under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us; (b) in response to legal process or governmental request, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud, protect rights or safety, or respond to an emergency; (c) in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, in which case we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify affected users where required; (d) with your consent or at your direction.
We instruct AI model providers used by the Service (which may currently include providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to operate under terms or product configurations that, where available, prohibit training on User Content. We do not control and cannot guarantee the practices of any third party.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to authenticate users, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may impair functionality of the Service.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption of certain data at rest and TLS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not guarantee the absolute security of your information.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for the security of any device or network you use to access the Service.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by category of information and applicable law. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.
